My wife and I interviewed two realtors prior to meeting with David and Hans to sell my childhood home and we were blown away with their presentation that included sales data to back up the current market, a breakdown of all the services they provide which includes an optional investment to elevate the property for an optimal sale price. They shared our vision and enthusiasm on turning this former home into a welcoming space for the next family to take over. They went out of the way in helping us with a non-related issue that came up with the county and saved us thousands of dollars in property taxes.  They offer full service from getting a project manager, contractors for the renovation, staging and marketing. They are very communicative throughout the entire process which granted us peace of mind knowing this project was in the best of hands. I walked through the house right before the open house and I couldn't believe the transformation. The house looked amazing, better than what we could have ever imagined and below budget! We ultimately sold the home above asking and I couldn't be happier. Hans Struzyna and the team at the Gunderman Group did a terrific job assisting our family in selling two houses in Berkeley that were part of our Uncle’s trust. Their team provided everything we needed, including referrals to a trust attorney, an attorney to deal with tenant buyouts, property managers, remodeling contractors, staging, and all aspects of marketing. They even helped us with financing the entire effort. They were professional but also very patient and kind. When dealing with most businesses, you come across A-players, B-players, and C-players. C-players are "good enough." B-players do a great job and get a high-five. On rare occasions, you come across an A-player, and Hans Stuzyna is a perfect example of one. I entered the uncertain Bay Area housing market with little hope of being successful. I came across a home that I fell in love with and contacted the listing agent. Hans - who worked for the same firm - picked up the phone. Hans walked me through my options - phone call after phone call, text message after text message. Hans gave me the guidance I needed and stood by my side as we entered a fierce bidding war on a dream home. We won the house and soon opened escrow to close after precisely 21 days! After we closed the home, our water heater went out. I was desperately working with the warranty company to try and repair, but they denied us because they believed it was a preexisting condition. I called Hans for help and he sprang into action. We submitted a home inspection report to prove the water heater was working and obtained agreement from the warranty company that they'll repair. This wasn't good enough for Hans. He checked in with me almost every day making sure we had hot water. When the wait times were almost an hour with the warranty company, Hans used his resources to obtain communication for me quicker. Through this entire process, I did not so much as hear a "sigh" come out of him. There was no delay in his response. Hans gave an authentic damn, even after we closed escrow and he was not contractually obligated to do so. This is what an A-player does. Worked with realtor partner Hans Struzyna. The process of selling felt effortless and streamlined. Together, we discussed a plan for renovation and listing. All decisions felt completely up to my family. No pressure felt on decision making whatsoever. From there, Hans executed the vision and did it beyond our expectations. Any stress and anxiety I had going into the process subsided. Everything felt taken care of. Yet, the lines of communication were always open if needed.
